A man who has called Roe v. Wade, quote, "a bad law...bad medical science" is in third place for the Republican presidential nomination.
Sometimes, when I tell people I want to be a reproductive rights activist, they ask me what a job like that could possibly entail, seeing as we have reproductive rights, they've been granted, it's the law, hurrah, end of story. But that's the exact reason why I see it as being such an important job, because so many people-- pro-choice, pro-life, indifferent-- don't recognize how in jeopardy these rights are, how severe the consequences might be, and how imminent a denial of basic human liberties might be.
